Your Stay

Your experience begins when you wake up from your double bed with crisp new linen, and gaze out of your window that looks out onto a boomerang shaped lake full of yabbies and native ducks and birds. Maybe even spot an eagle or two above. Your newly built cottage has all natural European timbers both inside and out, with a warm glow emitted from the timber during daylight hours.

You might start your day by stoking up the wood heater and reading a book whilst your other half prepares breakfast (tea; coffee; juice; butter; jam; cereals; fresh milk, free range eggs and bread supplied).

Enjoy breakfast on the veranda overlooking Lake. Walk to the spa cottage, and enjoy a relaxing hot spa as you look out onto the pine and gum trees, and then enter the sauna. Then cool yourself down in the lake a short stroll down the path, or just go back into the spa & shower.

The lake's attractions include: swimming, yabbying, and soon fishing (when they grow big enough) and a canoe will be available.

Walk to Bullarto Station (only on Sundays) and ride the Historic Tourist Train as it meanders through parts of Wombat State Forest and drops you off at Daylesford. Here you can experience what Daylesford has to offer: cafes, galleries, antique shops, boutique chocolate shops, restaurants, and at night time enjoy the many bars and clubs in the area.
